Always between hate and love, I’m a gemini

Hello music lovers!

Today’s post is related to astrology. I never told you this but I am a big fan of astrology. I have my sun in Gemini ♊️ and today I decided to honor 2 geminis artists: Kanye West and Lana Del Rey. I know I already half dedicated a post to Lana but I love her so much that she gets articles.

I decided to do a rap mashup for the second time. But this time, it is a medley of some of my favorites Kanye West’s songs. I chose these 4:

All of these songs are pretty aggressive in contrast with the Lana song I chose to sing them over (Young and beautiful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w54NfoUuhXo ). In order to have a nice result I had to slow down Kanye’s verses which gave them a new tone. 

I decided to put the first verse of Gold Digger in the mix just to introduce Kanye’s spirit to this mashup. I rap the explicit version because I wanted to stress the fact that Kanye always speaks his mind even if it is controversial.

Stronger and Power  are in the mix because they are my favorites. They are really motivating and punchy. Every time I listen to them, I feel empowered and ready to achieve all my goals. Rapping them is even more powerful.

I chose Black Skinhead because of the contrast with Young and Beautiful. In Lana’s song the themes evoked are love and heaven. Those are very light and angelic subjects sang over a very sweet and calm melody. On the other hand, we have Kanye’s song which is all about anger and revenge. It also contains lots of controversial words. We really feel like Kanye is releasing his anger in this song while Lana is expressing pure love. 

Love and hate are two different emotions that are separated by a very thin line. It is a duality that I enjoy which also fits the Gemini. It is known that Geminis have a double personality. I wanted to express that by uniting two artists that express different emotions in their songs.
